# Introduction

{% hint style="danger" %}
We have noticed that recently some individuals have been impersonating the official KanadeDX identity by setting up **FAKE servers and accounts** on social media platforms such as Discord and BiliBili.

Please be aware: **KanadeDX currently only has official accounts and communities on Discord and Telegram. We have never established official accounts on any other social media platforms.**

If you have recently joined a KanadeDX Discord server through an unknown source, **please verify carefully to ensure you have joined the OFFICIAL KanadeDX Discord server (Est. Feb 2025, over 5,500 members).**

To protect the security of your account and information, please ensure you download and use KanadeDX only through official/trusted channels.
{% endhint %}

This guide is made to help you setup KanadeDX for the first time. For the sake of simplicity, we will only be using the latest version, and we will try to keep this guide as up to date as possible.

Let's head to the next section.
